TCR World Tour
The FIA TCR World Tour is the global touring car series for TCR-specification front-wheel-drive touring cars, successor to the WTCR. Races take place at eight selected events worldwide, combining rounds from multiple regional TCR championships into a single international championship.
History
The TCR concept was developed by Marcello Lotti and launched as the TCR International Series in 2015, providing a cost-effective alternative to the expensive DTM and WTCC. The concept spread rapidly to create regional series on every continent. The FIA's WTCR (World Touring Car Cup) adopted TCR regulations in 2018, and the TCR World Tour effectively replaced it from 2023 with FIA status added for 2024. The 2026 season is the fourth TCR World Tour edition, featuring manufacturers including Hyundai (BRC Racing), Honda (GOAT Racing / ALM Motorsport), Geely (Cyan Racing), Audi, and CUPRA.
