Intercontinental GT Challenge
The Intercontinental GT Challenge is the world's only global GT3 racing series, linking five prestige endurance events on four continents — Australia, Europe, Asia, and North America — into a single manufacturers' championship. Only factory-supported GT3 cars from officially affiliated manufacturers are eligible for manufacturers' points.
History
The IGTC was founded by SRO Motorsports Group in 2016, growing from the Blancpain GT Series Intercontinental Cup concept. The 2026 season is the 11th edition, featuring six manufacturers: BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, Chevrolet, and Ford (the latter two making their IGTC debuts). The five rounds in 2026 are: Bathurst 12 Hour (February), 24 Hours Nürburgring (May), 24 Hours Spa (June), Suzuka 1000km (September), and Indianapolis 8 Hour (October). The 24 Hours of Spa, which also counts for the GT World Challenge Europe, is the series' centrepiece.
