GT World Challenge America
The GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS is the leading GT3 series in North America, part of SRO Motorsports Group's global GT World Challenge network. In 2026, the format expanded to three-hour races at seven venues, blending sprint-race heritage with endurance-racing strategy.
History
SRO brought its GT World Challenge brand to North America and built on over 35 years of continuous GT racing heritage in America. The series provides a professional pathway for GT3 teams and drivers looking to compete globally, with the Indianapolis 8 Hour also counting for the Intercontinental GT Challenge. The 2026 format change to three-hour races aligns the series more closely with European and global endurance traditions while retaining its identity as a driver-development and gentleman-driver platform.
