FIA European Rallycross Championship
The FIA European Rallycross Championship (Euro RX) is the highest class of international rallycross competition in 2026, following the cancellation of the FIA World Rallycross Championship after the 2025 season. The championship returns to its European roots with six rounds across Latvia, Hungary, Sweden, Ireland, France and Portugal, plus a standalone FIA Rallycross World Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia. The 2026 season introduces new RX4 and RX5 classes alongside the top-tier RX1 category.
History
Now in its 51st season, the FIA European Rallycross Championship is one of motorsport's longest-running international competitions. From humble beginnings in the early 1970s at circuits like Lydden Hill and Höljes, the series grew to become World RX in 2014 before the top-tier championship was briefly relaunched as a global series. The 2026 restructuring returns rallycross to its European heartland while a new World Cup format provides a standalone global showdown.
