Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
The DTM is Germany's prestige GT racing series and one of Europe's most storied touring car championships, now contested entirely with GT3-specification cars. Eight different manufacturers are represented on a 21-car grid across eight weekend rounds at iconic German circuits.
History
The original DTM ran from 1984 to 1996 as a genuine touring car championship with silhouette cars from Mercedes, Opel, and Alfa Romeo. It returned in 2000 as a manufacturer-spec series and became one of Europe's most-watched championships through the 2000s and 2010s. A second restructuring in 2021 transitioned the series to GT3 regulations under ADAC promotion, opening the door to a wide variety of manufacturers. The 2026 season is the 40th edition of the DTM, with entries from Mercedes-AMG, BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Ford, and Audi.
